Need somewhere to stay for one of our short courses?

VisitCumbria (once known as Cumbria Tourist Board) lists a wide range of nearby accommodation on its website: Hotels and B&Bs in Eastern Cumbria

And below are some of our suggestions based on personal knowledge of the owners and the high standards they offer guests. All have achieved excellent reputations and most of their guests are either repeat visitors or come as a result of recommendations. That, to us, says a great deal!

Wickerslack Farm B&B and self catering cottage – Crosby Ravensworth, Penrith

A traditional farmhouse bed and breakfast and a self catering cottage are 2 options of accommodation at Wickerslack Farm which is located just off the M6 and in the same village as Ingrid Grayling.

The accommodation is situated in a spacious family farmhouse which includes a guest lounge, with a real log fire, and comfortable chairs to relax in after energetic day of dog training!

There are two rooms available both with extended views over the open countryside and extending to the Northern Pennines. Each room can accommodate 2 persons and each are en suite with access to a separate shower room. Light suppers are also available in the evenings on request.

The self catering cottage sleeps 6 persons and offers luxury accommodation for those who prefer to cater for themselves. The stable building, dating back to 1868, contains all the modern conveniences for a relaxed holiday. The beamed lounge has a large open fire place and there is also central heating. Large french doors lead out onto a secluded patio and barbecue area.

The bedrooms comprise of 3 rooms and include a four poster bed in the master room, and there is a shower room on the first floor and bathroom on the ground floor.

Accommodation for Dogs:  dogs are welcome.

The White House – Clifton, Penrith

The White House Guest House offers four star accommodation, and is ideally situated 20 minutes away from Ingrid and 2 miles from the market town of Penrith and Junction 40 of the M6/A66.

The guest house offers a relaxed and comfortable stay along with a homely atmosphere and breakfasts are served using local produce.

Dogs are welcome and outside kennelling is also available.

Set in 40 acres of beautiful landscape, this is a friendly, family-run park offering excellent pitches for touring caravans as well as superb luxury holiday homes and lodges.

It is located about 20 minutes from Ingrid’s.
