Finding Ingrid
From the north – leave the M6 motorway at junction 39. Follow the signs to Shap and in the middle of the village, at the fish & chip shop take a right turn up Jackson Lane, follow the signs to Crosby Ravensworth. When you reach the village take a right at the village hall and follow the road out until you reach the last house on the right, this is Ingrid Grayling and you will see her sign on the driveway.
From the south – leave the M6 motorway at junction 38. Take the first left turning at the roundabout, sign posted ‘Appleby & Orton’. Drive through the village of Orton and up the hill to the fell. Immediately after the first cattle grid take a left and follow this road & the sign for Crosby Ravensworth. Ingrid Grayling is the first house in the village on the left after the hump back bridge – you will see her sign on the driveway.
From Appleby – continue through Appleby and up the hill keeping the castle on your left. Continue on this road which is sign-posted ‘Orton’. Keep on that road through the village of Burrells and continue until you are on the open fells. Once on the fells take the very last turning on the right before the last cattle grid. It is sign-posted Crosby Ravensworth and follow this road. Ingrid Grayling is the first house in the village on the left after the hump back bridge – you will see her sign on the driveway.
