Ingrid

We recently spent two days with Ingrid in Cumbria with our 2 year old very boisterous Boxer dog Lola.
Life with Lola had become very difficult here in Mid Wales where we are surrounded by sheep which she never missed an opportunity to chase. Even letting her have the run of the garden meant that she was constantly at the fence barking at them!
We are so delighted that after just one session with Ingrid,  Lola now has a very healthy respect for sheep and indeed other livestock.
We are also working very hard on other issues of obedience, recall and walking to heel in particular under Ingrid's guidance, and using a completely different approach than other trainers we have consulted - again with excellant results.  Where we despaired of having a dog whose life was restricted by bad behaviour we now feel confident that we can overcome many of the problems.
Also the dog boarding facilities that Ingrid provides are second to none, and although we hardly live on the doorstep Lola will be returning for a holiday in May whilst we go off on ours!! - happy in the knowledge that she will be so well looked after.

We have a full male black Labrador aged two and a half called Tyson.
Outside he would not walk at all on a lead, he would pull you all over the place and not listen to commands, he was also quite bad on recall when off the lead.
On speaking to friends, they suggested we take him to see Ingrid Grayling, which we have done.
Within half an hour she had Tyson walking on a loose lead and obeying commands. At first Ingrid had to use a zapper collar, which you have to see in action to believe it. We hired the collar for a week to use at home with Tyson and we cannot believe such a change in a dogs behaviour in such a short time.
I am disabled and have to wear a splint on my leg and one arm and up until now I have not been able to walk Tyson, but I can now. We cannot thank & praise Ingrid enough for her help and would recommend her services to anyone who has problems with their dogs.

Our 10 year old, rescued Jack Russell, who we had had for a matter of months would not travel in the car; he barked continuously.  We had tried squirting him with water, shouting at him, shaking a tin with stones at him and nothing worked.  One day, at the end of my tether I found Ingrid's site on the web and contacted her, our visit to Crosby Ravensworth resulted in a peaceful drive home to Cockermouth and our drives have been peaceful since.  Thanks again Ingrid.

Many thanks Ingrid! With your help and expertise, Laddie (our Collie/Lab ) is a new dog - aged 6 ! He no longer chases anything that moves, much to the relief of sheep and quad bike riders! Thanks again Ingrid and keep up the good work.

My experience of the Ingrid Graylings Boarding Kennels have been excellent. My two dogs(black labrador and jack russell) have stayed there several times over the past two years. Each time I collect them they are happy and in excellent condition. Mrs Grayling has been consistently pleasant with me and obviously has a great love for dogs and her kennels are extremely well run, she has shown the dogs welfare to be her main concern. My holidays now revolve around Ingrids kennels I would never leave them anywhere else. I give these kennels the highest recommendation.

Thank you Ingrid for a fantastic training day! After just one session with you, Jack is an absolute pleasure to take for a walk as he no longer considers chasing after other dogs. We appreciated your kindness and above all your superb knowledge of both dog and human psychology. Jo and Tudor Townsend

Having moved to the wonderful Cumbrian countryside, we realised that our normally quiet dogs were obsessed with sheep!
This came to head recently when they escaped from the garden and our neighbouring farmer told us that he could not tolerate the possible harm they may do to his livestock.
You can imagine we were at our wits end. We were telling friends one evening and asked one of them how she had managed to train her lively young Labrador so well. Thankfully, she pointed us in the direction of Crosby Ravensworth and an acclaimed dog trainer Ingrid Grayling.
Within minutes of meeting Ingrid we both felt at ease with her confident and professional manner towards us and the dogs. Within one hour she had transformed our lives and the lives of our dogs. By the following weekend I was able to take both dogs on a five hour walk on the Northern Fells, walking off lead withing a couple of metres of the Fellside sheep.
We now walk our dogs in complete confidence. The training was excellent, professional and caring to the needs of our dogs. I recommend Ingrid Grayling as a wonderful solution to this kind of problem. The difference to all concerned is very considerable.

Ingrid Grayling has looked after our dogs for many years now & we would not consider anywhere else. The elder dog is arthritic & is exercised accordingly. The younger one is neurotic when it comes to sudden loud noises but Ingrid takes care to ensure she avoids areas of shoots or other sudden noises. Our girls are happy staying there & so are we.

I feel very lucky to have found such a caring environment as Ingrid's for my Golden Retriever, Polly. The highest praise I can give is the absolute reluctance Polly has in getting into my car and leaving Ingrid's at the end of her stay!
I would recommend Ingrid Grayling to anyone wishing to board their dog.

Most kennels we visited offered poor value for money. Ten minutes exercise around a yard twice a day is not enough! Russ requires a lot of exercise and Ingrid makes sure that his requirements are met. In fact, she works hard to meet the individual needs of each kennelled dog and exercises them accordingly. Ingrid cares about the dogs left in her care and has a real empathy with them.
The kennels are always clean, heating is supplied if needed and the dogs are contented. Russ really does have a holiday when we do. Because Ingrid has trained him he is obedient and trustworthy. He is free to run without a lead and swims each day. We would have no hesitation in recommending these kennels to anyone and have forwarded Ingrid’s leaflets to our local vet upon his request.
